These terms of use ("Terms") govern your use of the websites operated by Alaro Ltd at alaro.com and alaro.ai (together, the "Website"). Please read them carefully before using the Website.
By accessing or using the Website you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
These Terms apply to the public-facing Website only. If you access the Alaro platform as a registered user, your use of the platform is governed by a separate agreement between you (or your organisation) and Alaro.
1. Who We Are
Alaro Ltd ("Alaro", "we", "us" or "our") is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15576861. Our registered office is at Labs, 90 High Holborn, London WC1V 6LJ.
If you have any questions about these Terms or the Website, you can contact us at hello@alaro.ai.
2. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by posting a notice on the Website.
Your continued use of the Website after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We therefore encourage you to check this page periodically.
3. Accessing the Website
We do not guarantee that the Website, or any content on it, will always be available or that access will be uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the Website at any time without notice, for operational, technical or regulatory reasons.
You are responsible for ensuring that everyone who accesses the Website through your internet connection is aware of these Terms and complies with them.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Our content
The Website and all content on it — including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and any other material — is owned by or licensed to Alaro and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
You may access and view content on the Website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:
- reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works of any content without our prior written consent;
- use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent;
- remove or alter any copyright, trade mark or other proprietary notice.
4.2 Your submissions
If you submit any content or information to us through the Website — for example, through an enquiry form — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for the purposes for which it was submitted. You represent that you have the right to submit that content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
4.3 Trade marks
"Alaro" and associated logos are trade marks of Alaro Ltd. You must not use them without our prior written consent.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- use the Website in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
- use the Website to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material;
- knowingly introduce any virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or other malicious or technologically harmful material;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, the server on which it is stored, or any connected server, computer or database;
- attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack;
- use any automated means (including scrapers, bots or crawlers) to access, collect data from, or interact with the Website without our prior written consent;
- use the Website in a way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it or interfere with any other user's experience.
We may report any breach of this section to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will co-operate with those authorities as required.
6. Third-Party Links and Content
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, content or services. Those links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for those websites or their content, and we are not responsible for any loss or damage you may suffer from using them. You access any linked website entirely at your own risk.
7. No Legal Advice
The content on the Website — including any articles, blog posts, guides or commentary — is provided for general information only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied on as such.
Alaro provides regulated legal services, but those services are provided under a separate engagement with identified clients, governed by a separate client agreement. Nothing on the Website creates a solicitor-client or legal adviser relationship between you and Alaro.
If you need legal advice, please contact us at hello@alaro.ai to discuss your requirements.
8. Disclaimer
The Website is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to the Website and its content, including any warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- the Website will be error-free or uninterrupted;
- defects will be corrected;
- the Website or the server that makes it available are free from viruses or other harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alaro will not be liable for:
- any loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, data or goodwill;
- any indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage;
- any loss or damage arising from your reliance on content found on the Website,
whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable.
Our total liability to you in connection with the Website will not exceed £100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Privacy and Cookies
Your use of the Website is subject to our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read both documents carefully — they explain how we collect, use and protect your personal data and how we use cookies and similar technologies.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that jurisdiction.
12. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severed from these Terms without affecting the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Website, and supersede any prior agreements.
