Alaro Ltd

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

This policy explains how Alaro Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites at alaro.com and alaro.ai, what each one does, and how you can control them.

Both addresses serve the same website. They sit on slightly different infrastructure, so a small number of cookies appear on one address and not the other. Where that is the case, it is noted below.

Who We Are

Alaro Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15576861). Our registered office is Labs, 90 High Holborn, London WC1V 6LJ.

For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through these websites. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference [TO CONFIRM — ICO REGISTRATION REFERENCE].

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to give site owners information about how their site is used.

Not everything that stores information on your device is a cookie. We also use two related technologies, and because the law treats them the same way, so does this policy:

  • Local storage — data saved in your browser that persists until it is cleared.
  • Session storage — data saved only for the duration of a browser tab, cleared automatically when you close it.

Where this policy refers to cookies, it means all three unless we say otherwise.

The Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

These are required for the website to function securely. They do not require your consent, but we list them here so you know they exist. They are not used to track you or to build a profile of your interests.

Strictly Necessary
Cookie Set by Purpose Type Duration
_cfuvid Cloudflare Distinguishes individual visitors who share an IP address, so security and rate-limiting rules apply correctly. Not used for tracking or analytics. Appears on alaro.ai. Necessary Session
__cf_bm Cloudflare Bot management — helps tell automated traffic from real visitors. Appears on alaro.ai. Necessary 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Stores confirmation that a visitor has passed a Cloudflare security challenge, so the check does not have to be repeated on subsequent requests. Appears on alaro.ai. Necessary ~1 year
__client_uat Clerk Authentication token confirming the current user is logged in. Required for access to the Alaro platform. Appears on alaro.ai. Necessary ~1 year
__client_uat_5kQimvKT Clerk Instance-specific variant of the Clerk authentication token, tied to Alaro's Clerk configuration. Required for access to the Alaro platform. Appears on alaro.ai. Necessary ~1 year
transitioning Alaro (session storage) Remembers that you are moving between pages so the page transition animation plays correctly. Necessary Until tab closed
[TO CONFIRM] Webflow Website hosting and delivery. Confirm in DevTools whether Webflow sets cookies on alaro.com. Necessary [TO CONFIRM]

Analytics

These cookies help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. We only set them if you agree, and you can withdraw your agreement at any time.

Analytics
Cookie Set by Purpose Type Duration
ph_phc_[key]_posthog PostHog Records a unique device identifier, user identifier and session data to track how the platform is used. The full cookie name includes a project-specific key between the ph_phc_ prefix and _posthog suffix. Observed on alaro.ai. Analytics 1 year

Personalisation and Testing

These are not essential. We only set them if you agree, and you can withdraw your agreement at any time.

Intellimize does not use cookies. It stores information in your browser's local storage instead. Under UK law this makes no difference — the rules cover storing information on your device however it is done — so we treat it exactly as we would a cookie, and it is listed here for that reason.

Personalisation and Testing
Cookie Set by Purpose Type Duration
intellimize_data_tracking_type Intellimize (Webflow Optimize) Local storage entry recording how visitor data is tracked for personalisation and A/B testing. Observed value: "always". Personalisation Until cleared
[TO CONFIRM] Intellimize (Webflow Optimize) Intellimize may write further entries once an experiment is running. Re-check local storage after any test goes live. Personalisation [TO CONFIRM]

Note on Intellimize: Intellimize routes its requests through our own domain rather than its own. This is a standard configuration, but it means its activity may appear to originate from alaro.com or alaro.ai rather than from a third party. We mention it so the table above is not misleading.

Third-Party Services

Some services we use receive technical information about your visit — including your IP address — even where they do not set a cookie. This is an unavoidable consequence of loading content from another provider.

Third-Party Services
Service Provider What it receives / does Category Cookies set
Adobe Typekit Adobe Delivers the fonts used across the site, and reports font usage statistics back to Adobe. Essential None
Webflow / CloudFront Webflow, Amazon Hosts the website and delivers images, stylesheets and scripts. Essential [TO CONFIRM]
unpkg unpkg / Cloudflare Delivers an open-source library used for smooth scrolling. Essential None
Cloudflare Cloudflare Security, bot protection and content delivery for alaro.ai. Essential See above

How to Control Cookies

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of our website.

You can also control cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, and block them from being set. The method differs by browser — the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each explain it.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working properly. Blocking the others will not.

Changes to This Policy

We review this policy periodically and whenever we add or remove a service that uses cookies. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
