What is Alaro?
Alaro is the AI paralegal for your entire business.
Delegate repetitive legal work to Alaro by email, Slack, Teams, or WhatsApp. It comes back done. Your lawyers step in only when something needs their judgement.
Most of what lands on an in-house legal team isn’t hard. There’s just a lot of it: supplier agreements, MSAs, and context spread across email, Slack, Teams, CLMs, CRMs, and more.
None of that needs a law degree. It just blocks the judgement work lawyers were hired to do.
Alaro does repetitive legal work for you. It works out what each request needs, pulls the context from wherever it lives, and chases the people who have the missing pieces. Then it proposes negotiation strategies within the positions you’ve agreed, and runs documents through to signature.
Alaro understands the legal work you give it because it lives and works exactly where you do. No onboarding or ramp-up. It’s an AI colleague who works with you.
“Alaro is what Codex or Claude Cowork would be if they lived where lawyers lived most — in email and documents. Unfortunately, those tools aren’t there yet. They expect you to teach yourself AI and become a power user. You shouldn’t have to learn a new tool to get value from AI. You should be able to reap the benefits of AI with none of the ramp-up.”
What does Alaro do?
Alaro runs repetitive legal work so that you don’t have to. It gathers context, checks positions, chases counterparties, gets approvals, routes documents for signature, and tracks progress. The work still needs to be accurate, but it’s execution, not judgement.
Most of it is commercial contracts: supplier agreements, MSAs, order forms, and renewals. Alaro also handles NDAs, intake and triage, due diligence, and, for real-estate teams, professional appointments and collateral warranties.
Alaro goes beyond what most AI models and agents do. It:
- Takes in each request (whether it arrives in Slack, by email, or as a Salesforce ticket) and works out what it needs
- Chases missing schedules, figures, and approvals until nothing is outstanding
- Suggests negotiation strategies with counterparties within the positions you’ve agreed
- Routes documents for signature in DocuSign, chases signatories, and files the signed copy
- Drafts and redlines against your playbook
Alaro is built to be proactive. It makes suggestions, finds gaps and flags them, and asks before it acts when something isn’t clear.
It’s not built to tell you what you want to hear. It does accurate legal work within your playbook and grows with you.
How does Alaro work?
You bring Alaro on the way you’d bring on a new member of the team.
- Scope it together. We agree on your playbook, precedents, approval rules, and escalation points, the way you'd define a role before someone starts.
- Delegate the work. Send it the way you already send anything: email, Slack, Teams, or WhatsApp.
- Get it back done. Drafted, signed, and tracked. Your team is pulled in only for approvals, exceptions, and judgement calls.
- It gets better over time. Ex-Am Law and Magic Circle lawyers teach, monitor, and improve it. They feed the exceptions back in and tune it to how you work, so it ramps like a good hire.
“People weren’t made to spend their day in Salesforce, Ironclad, and everything else. They’re made to talk to each other. The real work is spread across multiple teams and tools. Sales puts a contract in Salesforce, legal has to review it, and everything stalls. That’s where Alaro gets involved. It sits across everything and pulls all relevant material. Your team doesn’t have to do any digging.”
What tools does Alaro work with?
Alaro works in the systems your team already uses. It doesn’t need a neat integration for each one.
Clients already use Alaro with:
- Gmail
- Outlook
- Slack
- Teams
- Salesforce
- DocuSign
- Microsoft Word
- Ironclad
- Companies House
- LexisNexis
- Online Databases
Legal work rarely stays in one place. A contract might start in Salesforce, get checked against a precedent in your document system, go to a colleague by email for sign-off, and finish in DocuSign. Alaro follows the work through each step, the way a good paralegal would.
Where a system offers a direct connection, Alaro uses it. Where it doesn’t, you can give Alaro its own login, the same way you’d set up a new starter. That’s why older platforms and in-house tools aren’t a blocker.
Tell us which systems you rely on. We’ll confirm how Alaro works with each one when we scope your first workflow, before any work starts. You decide what it can see and what it can do in every system.
How is Alaro different from Harvey, Legora, or ChatGPT?
Harvey, Legora, ChatGPT, and Claude help a lawyer work faster. Then they hand the doing, and the checking, back to that lawyer.
To be clear, there’s nothing inherently wrong with that model. However, it assumes most lawyers will become power users.
Lawyers don’t have the time to complete rigorous onboarding, teach themselves a new tool, and keep up with new features.
Many of the teams we speak to already use Claude or ChatGPT for legal work, and some have started building their own workflows. These tools draft well. What they don’t do is manage the work end to end: chase the approval, route the signature, update the tracker. And whoever builds the workflow has to maintain it, check its output, and fix it when it breaks.
Alaro works the other way round: you delegate the work, and Alaro takes responsibility for getting it done.
| AI legal tools (Harvey, Legora, ChatGPT, Claude) | Alaro | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | A faster draft, summary, or answer | The work done, from request to completion |
| Who does the work | Your lawyers, with help | Alaro, with your team stepping in for judgement calls |
| Who maintains it | Your team: prompts, workflows, and updates | Alaro |
| Where it lives | The tool’s own workspace and add-ins | Your inbox, Slack, Teams, and WhatsApp, plus systems like Salesforce and Ironclad. Nothing new to log into |
| Best for | Research, drafting, and analysis | Recurring, multi-step work that has to get over the line |
Is Alaro a law firm?
Alaro is an AI paralegal, not traditional outside counsel. You don't instruct it for one-off advice. You delegate recurring work to it, the way you would to a member of your team.
What sets it apart from a tool is accountability. We are insured and regulated as a law firm would be.
What results has Alaro delivered?
Dominus Real Estate, a £2.4bn London developer, runs its recurring legal work through Alaro. The full case study has the details. In short:
- It began in January 2026, with two people and three contracts, one of them a six-figure deal.
- By May, 27 people across seven of Dominus's eight departments were instructing Alaro directly, the CEO and CFO among them.
“It's clear this is the start of something special.”
Who is Alaro for?
Alaro is for in-house legal teams with recurring, multi-step work that matters but is heavy on process. That usually means GCs and Heads of Legal, legal operations leaders, and senior in-house lawyers. It fits best if any of these sound familiar:
- Every request routes through one or two lawyers, sometimes a legal team of one, and you’ve become the bottleneck.
- Legal headcount isn’t growing and the answer from above is to use more tech, not hire.
- You’re paying law-firm rates, document by document, for routine work.
- Your AI tools produce drafts that someone still has to check line by line, so the risk still sits with you.
- Requests arrive everywhere, from Slack threads to forwarded emails to Salesforce tickets, and some get lost.
- Nobody owns the full process: approvals go unanswered, signatures aren’t chased, and no one has the time to trace what happened.
- You already have too many tools, and you don’t have time for more onboarding.
Requests reach legal from across the business, from sales and finance to the founders. With Alaro, anyone can send it work directly, and legal stays in control of the positions it works to. You finally get a clear view of everything.
Alaro isn’t for one-off, high-stakes advice. That stays with you.
“Think about it like a hire. You don’t want another person who quietly agrees with you. You want someone proactive who flags missing pieces and never compromises on accuracy. That’s how we built Alaro.”
Who founded Alaro?
Alaro was founded by Willem Jongert (CEO) and Igor Adamski (CTO) in 2025. Both were named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list for AI in 2026.
Willem and Igor met at Cambridge in 2019, where Willem was doing a master’s in law and Igor one in machine learning.
They saw the same problem from opposite sides.
As a corporate lawyer at Paul Hastings, Willem found that much of the work wasn’t legally hard. It was process: emails, PDFs, and chasing, the kind of work that pulls good lawyers away from the law they trained for.
Igor, then working at a hedge fund, saw it as a client when a personal legal matter dragged on for years with bills nobody could explain.
In 2025, Willem left Paul Hastings and the two spent two months in Mallorca. Willem mapped every legal process he used to run, and Igor automated it.
On their morning rides they kept passing Alaró, a small town on the island. That’s how Alaro got its name.
Is Alaro secure?
Everything you send Alaro is treated as confidential and encrypted in transit and at rest. Our AI providers work under zero data retention and can’t use or share your data for their own purposes. Access to our backend runs on SAML SSO, role-based permissions, and audit logs, and you can have your data deleted on request. Your materials and outputs are never shared with other clients.
You can start without giving Alaro access to any of your systems: forward an email and it works from there. If you later connect to Salesforce, Ironclad, or DocuSign, you decide what it can see and what it can send.
The full details are on our trust page.
How much does Alaro cost?
Alaro’s pricing is agreed with you upfront, so you know what you’ll pay before the work starts. We scope each workflow, then price it on the type of work and how much of it you send. There are no per-seat or per-token charges, and no automatic overages: if your volume grows, we agree any change with you first.
That makes Alaro easy to budget for, and competitive with what the same work costs you today in outside-counsel fees or lawyer time. The quickest way to see the difference is to send us one workflow and we’ll price it.
“Legal teams shouldn’t have to learn a new tool to get value from AI. That system is broken. They already know how to delegate. AI should work that way too.”
Start with one workflow
Legal talent is expensive and overqualified for chasing signatures. Alaro gives that work somewhere to go, done properly and with lawyers behind it, so your team gets its time back.
Pick one recurring workflow and we'll scope it with you. Get started.
